Information for speakers
Preparation of the presentation (presentation slides or poster):
Please upload your presentation to the online registry by 03.09.2025. It will be available to you at the annual conference in your respective lecture room. Alternatively, a central media reception desk will be available at the conference venue. In this case, your presentation should be handed in at the media desk at least 1 hour before the start of your presentation. In case of technical difficulties or as a backup, you can bring your presentation to the conference on a USB stick.
- Individual presentation in a lecture session: PDF or PowerPoint presentation (16:9), the presentation length must not exceed 8 minutes. The discussion time per presentation is 3 minutes. Strict attention will be paid to the time limit.
- Posters: Posters are available on the 2nd floor. The format of the poster (portrait format) must not exceed yy cm in height and xx cm in width. If the poster is intended for a poster walk, 4 minutes of presentation and 3 minutes of discussion are available. Strict attention will be paid to the time limit.
- Symposium contribution: The total length of a symposium is 60 or 90 minutes (see program). Please discuss the scope, length and uploading of your individual contributions with the authors of the symposium abstract.
- Workshop: 60 or 90 minutes (see program) with a thematic, practical and/or methodological focus and an interactive, activating format.
The events will be accompanied by at least one person as session chair, who will be responsible for moderation and time management.
For sustainability reasons, no personalized speaker badges will be printed. We ask you to insert a footer with your first and last name in your PowerPoint presentation on each slide (tab “Insert” > select “Header and footer”, enter name and institution in footer, “Apply to all”).
General information on technical equipment:
Each lecture room is equipped with a computer/notebook and data projector or screen for a PDF or PowerPoint presentation in 16:9 format. Your presentation will be uploaded centrally via the online registry or via the media reception and can be accessed at your respective lecture location. Please note that it is not possible to use your own laptop. During the session, each speaker controls their own presentation via radio presenter. Room support is available for each room or poster stand. Internet access via W-LAN is provided (network name: eduroam or Charité-Gast). If you require additional materials (method case, flip charts, etc.), please contact us separately.
Use of Apple and Linux:
We ask you to create your presentation compatible with Microsoft Office.
Integrated videos:
These often lead to presentation problems. If you cannot do without videos, please make sure that integrated videos are copied to the data carrier and saved in the same directory as the presentation. Please test data carriers with integrated videos on different computers to ensure integration. One way of integrating different media into PowerPoint is the PACK&GO function, which is available in Microsoft PowerPoint for playing presentations on other computers.
Presentation language:
The presentation language is German or English. The choice is up to the presenter. If your presentation has been assigned to an English-language session in the program (as indicated by the English-language title of the session and the title supplement “English speaking session”), you must give your presentation in English
Conflicts of interest:
Please make a declaration of conflicts of interest in your presentation.
